What one piece of advice would you give to someone starting out in college radio? Record your shows and listen back for ideas on where you can improve.
Did you have a “bathroom break” song? If so, what was it? Kinda hard with punk songs but I’d let a few songs off a live record roll until I was back.
Any funny stories or anecdotes specific to your time at the college radio station? I’d have to plead the fifth on the best ones but the memories will last a lifetime.
What was your most memorable interview? There was a surf movie premiere in Hawaii back in the 90s that had live bands play. The Vandals, Pennywise, and a super young Blink-182 all came down for a group interview to promote the event. They took over in short order. Good times.
